There are multiple programs available to assist families with paying tuition to attend STSJP. Our leadership is dedicated to making sure that cost does not cause a stumbling block for our families. If you would like to learn more about financial assistance, please email Therese Bath at [email protected].
It's a common misconception that Catholic education is unaffordable. However, many STSJP families benefit from reduced tuition rates due to the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, often referred to as the voucher program.
Visit the Indiana Department of Education website for more information about the School Choice Program.
Students in kindergarten through 8th grade who qualify for a School Choice Pathway and meet the income guidelines may receive a School Choice Voucher from the Indiana Department of Education that will pay for most or all the student’s tuition. Students must be accepted for enrollment before the Voucher application can be submitted.
Families interested in learning more about enrollment and the School Choice Scholarship program should contact the school office at 765-865-9960 or email [email protected].
STSJP students enrolled in the program for the first semester do not need to reapply for second semester.
Income eligibility is determined by the Adjusted Gross Income on the 2020 Federal Tax Return for all members of the household. It is important to note that the “Household” number includes ALL members of the household — adults and children alike.
See the chart below to see if your family might meet the income guidelines for the School Choice Sponsorship program, and contact the school for more information on enrolling your child(ren) in our pastorate school.
To be awarded a Choice Scholarship in period one, a complete application must be submitted for the student on or before the September 1, 2024 application deadline and the student must be fully enrolled and expected in attendance on or before the September count day.
To be awarded a second period Choice Scholarship, a complete application must be submitted for the student on or before the January 15, 2025 second period application deadline and the student must be fully enrolled and expected in attendance on or before the February count date.
Tuition discounts are available to families who are registered active members of either St. Joan of Arc or St. Patrick Parish. The parish discount is possible due to the subsidy the parishes provide to the school as a ministry of the parishes. To be eligible for a parish scholarship, families must meet all the criteria of an active parishioner.
Please complete our Parish Discount Application form to ensure accurate tuition calculations.

There is often a misconception regarding the School Choice Scholarship Program, with people thinking the financial aid is for non-parishioners or for families who are struggling financially. This is not the case.
According to the state of Indiana’s Department of Education’s web site, “Indiana is committed to providing all children access to quality educational opportunities. Indiana's Choice Scholarship Program, commonly referred to as the voucher program, (authorized under IC 20-51-1 and IC 20-51-4) provides scholarships to eligible Indiana students to offset tuition costs at participating schools. Students must satisfy both household income requirements and student eligibility criteria to qualify” (in.gov/doe).
One parent shared how the program has made an education at STSJP possible for their children. “We are extremely blessed to have the
voucher system at our school,” the mother said. “With our big family, there is no way we could afford this on our own.”
Even with both parents working, the state’s financial guidelines allow this family to benefit from the vouchers. “The voucher allows us to utilize our money in an educational environment that also supports their overall development,” the parent explained.
Another parent of STSJP students shared gratitude for the opportunity the financial assistance provides. “The voucher program has been such a blessing for our family,” the parent said. “The amazing education and learning environment is truly a blessing. I'm so grateful that our school is part of the voucher program to make this education possible for my children!”
The parents were quick to point out that STSJP helps students of all learning levels and all grades. “The teachers support students to help them succeed,” one parent said.
